【摘要】:ThisBritishStandardspecifiestherequirementsandtestmethodsoffireguardsintendedforusewithheatingappliancesutilizingorganicfuel(e.g.gas,solidfuel,oil)orelectricity,andwhichcanbesituatedinanopenareaoragainstoronawall,orwithinarecess.Suchappliancescanbepermanentlyfixedinpositionorcanbemoveable,andcanincorporateopenfiresincludingcombinationgrates,orclosedfires,includingroomheatersandstoves.Thefireguardsspecifiedinthisstandardareintendedtoprotectpeoplefromfallingintoafire,preventburnsandreducetheriskofinjury,particularlytoyoungchildrenandtheinfirm.Inadditionitisintendedtoreducetheriskoffireresultingfromclothingand/orotherflammablematerialscomingintocontactwith,orinproximityto,burningfueland/orhotsurfaces.Thefireguardsspecifiedarenotintendedtoreducetheriskoffirescausedbyflyingparticles,whicharecoveredbyBS3248.
