【摘要】:Thistestmethodmaybeappliedtoallpapersmadefromunmodifiedcellulose,asusedintransformer,cable,orcapacitormanufacture.Itappliestoneworagedpapers.Forinformation,AppendixX1showsanexampleofstatisticaldistributionofvaluesfornewpapersintendedfortheinsulationoftransformers,togetherwithinformationrelativetocableandcapacitorpapers.Nevertheless,whereevaluatingthedecompositionstageofagedpapers,takecaretouse,asareference,thevalueofthenewpaperoftheverysameorigin;ofnewpapersbeingafunction,amongotherfactors,oftheirspecificgravityandoftheirmanufacturingprocess.Thistestmethodcanalsobeusedforthedeterminationoftheintrinsicviscosityofsolutionsofchemicallymodifiedpapers,providedthatthesedissolvecompletelyintheselectionsolvent.Thistestmethodshouldbeusedwithcautionwhenitisappliedtopaperswithmineralfillers.1.1Thistestmethoddescribesastandardprocedurefordeterminingtheaverageviscometricdegreeofpolymerization(abbreviated)ofneworagedelectricalpapers.Thedeterminationismadebymeasuringtheintrinsicviscosityofasolutionofthepaperinanappropriatesolvent.1.2Thedegreeofpolymerization(orthedegreeofcondensation)ofaparticularcellulosemoleculeisthenumberofanhydro-x03B2;-glucosemonomers,C6H10O5,inthecellulosemolecule.Withinasampleofpaper,notallthecellulosemoleculeshavethesamedegreeofpolymerizationsothatthemeanvaluemeasuredbyviscometricmethodsisnotnecessarilythesameasthatwhichmaybeobtainedbyothermethods.1.3Thisstandardmayinvolvehazardousmaterials,operations,andequipment.Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesandtodeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.SeeSection9
