【摘要】:ThisInternationalStandardspecifiesseveralmethodsfortheempiricalestimationoftheconsistencyoflubricatinggreasesandpetrolatumbymeasuringthepenetrationofastandardizedcone.TheNationalLubricatingGreaseInstitute(NLGI)classifiesgreasesaccordingtotheirconsistency,asmeasuredbythe60strokesworkedpenetration.TheNLGIclassificationincludesnineconsistencynumbersorgrades,eachgradecorrespondingtoagivenrangeofworkedpenetration.TheNLGIclassificationisgiveninISO6743-99.Clause7ofthisInternationalStandardspecifiesfourproceduresfordeterminingtheconsistencyoflubricatinggreasesbymeasuringthepenetrationofafull-scalecone.Theseprocedurescoverthemeasurementofunworked,worked,prolongedworked,andblockpenetrations.Penetrationsupto500unitscanbemeasured.Clause8ofthisInternationalStandardspecifiesmethodsfordeterminingtheconsistencyoflubricatinggreaseswhenonlysmallsamplesareavailable,bytheuseofconesahalf-scaleorquarter-scaleofthatusedinClause7.Themethodsareapplicabletogreaseshavingpenetrationsof175unitsto385unitswiththefullscaleconeandareintendedforuseonlyifthesizeofthetestsamplepreventstheuseofconesdescribedinClause7.Theyarenotintendedtoreplacethefull-scalepenetrationasdescribedinClause7,althoughaconversiontofull-scalepenetrationisgivenin10.2.See8.1forthelimitationsontheuseofone-quarter-scaleconesduetothepoorprecision.NOTE1Unworkedpenetrationsdonotgenerallyrepresenttheconsistencyofgreasesinuseaseffectivelyasdoworkedpenetrations.Thelatterareusuallypreferredforinspectinglubricatinggreases.NOTE2Penetrationofblockgreasescanbeobtainedonthoseproductsthataresufficientlyhardtoholdtheirshape.Thesegreasesgenerallyhavepenetrationsbelow85units.Clause9ofthisInternationalStandardspecifiesamethodforthedeterminationoftheconsistencyofpetrolatumbymeasurementofthepenetrationofafull-scalecone,havingpenetrationsupto300units.Thismethodcanalsobeusedtoestimatetheconsistencyofslackwaxes.
