【摘要】:Thisprocedureprovidesamethodfordeterminingsulfurcontentincellulosicmaterialsbynondestructivemeans.Sulfurmaybeintheformofsulfateestersthatmaycontributetothermalinstability.Sulfurcanalsobepresentassaltsthatcancausehazeinsolutions.1.1ThistestmethodcoversdeterminationofsulfurcontentofcellulosicmaterialsbyX-rayfluorescence.1.2Usingappropriatestandards,therangeoftheprocedureisfromapproximately10ppmto20%sulfur.1.3ThistestmethodisproposedspecificallyasanalternativetoTestMethodsD871,sectionsonSignificanceandUse,Apparatus,Reagents,ProcedureandCalculationofHydroxylContent,andTestMethodsD817,sectionsonSummaryofTestMethod,SignificanceandUse,Apparatus,Reagents,andProcedureofHydroxylContent.Asappliedtocelluloseestersitmeasuresthecombinedsulfurandsulfurintheaccompanyinginorganicsalts.1.4Todeterminecombinedsulfur,thesample,whensoluble,mustfirstbereprecipitatedintodiluteacidtoremovethenoncombinedsulfurcompounds.1.5ThevaluesstatedinSIunitsaretoberegardedasthestandard.Thevaluesgiveninparenthesesareforinformationonly.Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.Foraspecifichazardstatement,see.
