【摘要】:1.1Thistestmethodcoversthedeterminationofhydraulicconductivityfromthemeasurementofinertialforcefree(overdamped)responseofawell-aquifersystemtoasuddenchangeinwaterlevelinawell.Inertialforcefreeresponseofthewaterlevelinawelltoasuddenchangeinwaterlevelischaracterizedbyrecoverytoinitialwaterlevelinanapproximateexponentialmannerwithnegligibleinertialeffects.1.2TheanalyticalprocedureinthistestmethodisusedinconjunctionwiththefieldprocedureinTestMethodD4044forcollectionoftestdata.1.3LimitationsSlugtestsareconsideredtoprovideanestimateofhydraulicconductivity.Thedeterminationofstoragecoefficientisnotpossiblewiththistestmethod.Becausethevolumeofaquifermaterialtestedissmall,thevaluesobtainedarerepresentativeofmaterialsveryneartheopenportionofthecontrolwell.Note1Slugtestsareusuallyconsideredtoprovideestimatesofthelowerlimitoftheactualhydraulicconductivityofanaquiferbecausethetestresultsaresoheavilyinfluencedbywellefficiencyandboreholeskineffectsneartheopenportionofthewell.Theportionoftheaquiferthatistestedbytheslugtestislimitedtoanareaneartheopenportionofthewellwheretheaquifermaterialsmayhavebeenalteredduringwellinstallation,andthereforemaysignificantlyeffectthetestresults.Insomecasesthedatamaybemisinterpretedandresultinahigherestimateofhydraulicconductivity.Thisisduetotherelianceonearlytimedatathatisreflectiveofthehydraulicconductivityofthefilterpacksurroundingthewell.ThiseffectwasdiscussedbyBouwer.Inaddition,becauseoftherelianceonearlytimedata,inaquiferswithmediumtohighhydraulicconductivity,theearlytimeportionofthecurvethatisusefulforthisdataanalysesistooshort(forexample,10s)foraccuratemeasurement;therefore,thetestresultsbegintogreatlyunderestimatethetruehydraulicconductivity.1.4ThevaluesstatedinSIunitsaretoberegardedasthestandard.Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.
