【摘要】:1.1Thisspecificationcoversrequirementsforprimersforusewithpoly(vinylchloride)(PVC)pipeandfittingsthataretobejoinedbyPVCsolventcementsmeetingtherequirementsofSpecificationD2564.1.2Theseprimersareusedinpressureandnonpressureapplicationswithplainendpipeandeithersocket-typefittingsorbellendpipe.Theseprimerspreparethesurfaceofpipeandfittingsbeforetheapplicationofsolventcement.Theprimer''seffectonthesetandcuretimeofthejointisdependentonthecement,pipesize,applicationmethod,temperature,andhumidity.1.3AprocedureforusingtheprimerwithcementisgiveninPracticeD2855.1.4Thetextofthisspecificationreferencesnotes,footnotes,andappendixeswhichprovideexplanatorymaterial.Thesenotesandfootnotes(excludingthoseintablesandfigures)shallnotbeconsideredasrequirementsofthespecification.1.5Thevaluesstatedininch-poundunitsaretoberegardedasthestandard.Thevaluesgiveninparenthesesareforinformationonly.1.6Thefollowingsafetyhazardscaveatpertainsonlytothetestmethodsportion,Section6,ofthisspecification:Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.
